The CRN Story
The Coding and Reimbursement network was started in 1999 by Laureen Jandroep when she saw a need for an online community where medical billers and coders could network with each other this endeavor was supported from the beginning by Barbara Cobuzzi and from there CRN Continuing Education, the CRN Shoppe, Collaboration with the CRN list serve and the CRN Forums and the CRN Institute for formalized e-Learning were born.
CRN Continuing Education (CRN CE) provides low cost Telewebinars so that individuals and organizations can purchase pre-recorded classes by some of the industries most recognized subject matter experts. The classes are about current topics as well as the most requested topics. Stay tuned as new and exciting classes are added to the CRN CE section of the CRN.
The CRN Shoppe provides the CRN member the opportunity to purchase books and software from leading vendors such as Ingenix, the AMA, Elsevier and others at negotiated reduced rates. Purchasing from the CRN Shoppe both provides reduced costs for the CRN member and helps support the CRN operations.
CRN Collaboration is on of the central hubs of the CRN. Through the CRN List and CRN Forums, the many members of the CRN can share and gather key subject oriented information. The list is a dynamic body of over 1500 members asking and answering the hot questions of the day while the Forums have the information from the past years archived with keyword search ability. When one wants to know where it is written, go to the CRN collaboration tools and you will find not only where it is written, but someone who is an expert in that area of coding, reimbursement and compliance. In the strength of numbers, we have power and credibility!
The CRN Institute provides quality online medical billing and coding education, e-Learning courses are delivered via BlackBoard, a popular course management solution used by many universities around the country. The CRN Institute Faculty combine their clinical skills, management experience and knowledge of billing and coding software to deliver the most effective and easy to use distance learning experience available to their students. Not only do the students have the benefits of distance learning, but with CRN Institute, the students have the CRN Institute Faculty to act as coaches, assisting them along the learning road as well as opportunity to network with their fellow students in the student forums. The CRN Institute brings the benefits of e-Learning and distance learning along with the benefits of personal learning with faculty attention and student networking.
